‘Mexico’s Bravest Man’ sheds light on former police chief

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – How did a police chief take on the drug cartels and survive eight assassination attempts?

That’s the fascinating story line behind a new documentary by filmmaker, Charlie Minn.

"Mexico’s Bravest Man" tells the story of Julian Perez, the former police chief of Juarez and Tijuana.

The is playing at the Ultra Star Mission Valley Cinemas-Hazard Center, April 10 at 3 and 4:30 p.m.

Charlie Minn will be at the screening to meet and greet the audience. Julian Leyzaola Perez, the focus of the film, is scheduled to be there as well.
