Michael Shellenberger on California’s gas car phase out plan

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Michael Shellenberger, author of Apocalypse Never, joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss California’s plans to ban the sale of new gasoline-powered passenger cars and trucks in 15 years.

Shellenberger is not in favor of the new rules that would make California the first state to ban sales of new gas-powered cars.

Shellenberger said banning old tech doesn’t lead to new technology and California’s electrical grid couldn’t handle a large number of electric cars.
