Military Vet: “I would like to take Maxine Waters seats at SOTU Address”

Last week, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) announced that she will not be attending President Trump’s State of the Union Address. On an interview with MSNBC, Waters said, “I don’t trust him, I don’t appreciate him and I wouldn’t waste my time… listening to what he has to say.” Following Waters’ announcement, four more Democrats have followed and announced that they will also be boycotting the historic event. They include; Frederica Wilson (D-FL), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), John Lewis (D-GA), and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR).

As a response to Waters decision, Ricky Taylor, a Military Veteran known as ‘Deplorable Vet’ on Twitter, (Handle: @Elucifer23), tweeted that he wants to take Maxine Waters (D-CA) seat.

Taylor’s tweet quickly went viral, grabbing attention from national news outlets, most of which Taylor retweeted for his followers to see on his Twitter page. On Fox News, Taylor is quoted as saying, “There are so many Trump supporters out there that are minorities… She (Maxine Waters) doesn’t speak for everybody. She surely doesn’t speak for me.”

This morning, Taylor announced that he has been invited to the State Of The Union Address as a guest of Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) via Twitter.

Duffy responded to Taylor’s excitement with the following tweet:
