MIRAMAR: Marines with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing return home

(CNS) – More than 200 Marines with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing
returned home to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Monday
following a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring
Freedom.

The Marines were welcomed by family and friends on the flight line at
a homecoming ceremony.

While away, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing provided close air support, air
assault and transportation for ground troops.
