Missing Santee woman found
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A developmentally disabled Santee woman who went missing Friday morning was located safe Friday afternoon in El Cajon.
Jennifer Klos, 27, was found about 6:15 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
“She was not hurt, but was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for minor dehydration,” according to a department statement.
Klos had left her home on Creekside Court in Santee about 7:30 a.m. to take a bus to Saint Madeleine Sophie’s Center in El Cajon but did not show up at the school, prompting search-and-rescue volunteers to fan out in areas near her home and school in hopes of promptly locating her.
She was considered at-risk because she has the approximate mental capacity of a seventh-grader, authorities said.
