Missing woman’s body found, cause of death ruled suicide

The Medical Examiner ruled that the cause of death of a woman whose body was found inside the trunk of a Toyota Camry more than two months ago was suicide.

The remains of Grace Ann Hall, 23, of San Diego, were found by police detectives April 18 in her car, which was parked in the 7700 block of Convoy Court. Hall had been reported missing one day earlier after she failed to turn up for a job interview in the Los Angeles area.

The cause of her death, listed initially as suspicious, was acute ethylene glycol poisoning.

Ethylene glycol is a colorless, odorless, sweet-tasting poisonous chemical found in many household products including antifreeze, deicing products, detergents, paints and cosmetics.
