Mothers of victims talk about serial killer Scott Erskine

SAN DIEGO (KUSI)- A repeat offender now sentenced to death row is challenging the courts ruling. Scott Erksine was sentenced to death in 2004 for the murders of 9 year old Jonathan Sellers and 13 year old Charlie Keever.

The boys disappeared March 27, 1993 while riding bikes near Otay River. Their bodies were found two days later.

Erskine was charged with two counts of murder with the special allegations of sodomy, oral copulation, child molestation and torture and three counts of special circumstances: torture, sexual assault and multiple murders. He was found guilty.

Yesterday, the California Supreme Court heard an appeal from the defense to toss out the death penalty ruling.  The court has 90 days to issue their decision.
