Motor home catches fire in Lakeside

LAKESIDE (CNS) – A motor home caught fire Sunday near Lakeside, but no one was injured.

The fire in the 13200 block of Lamplite Lane, near Los Coches Road, was reported at about 3:20 p.m., according to Heartland Fire & Rescue and the California Highway Patrol. Crews reported the fire as knocked down shortly after.

Fire officials initially said the vehicle fire had spread to a nearby structure, but authorities later said firefighters confined the blaze to the vehicle.

CHP officers were summoned to close Lamplite Lane and provide traffic control on Los Coches Road.
