Law enforcement release photos of vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run incident in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA (KUSI) — 7/5/2017 — Chula Vista police released photos Wednesday of the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision earlier this week.

On Monday at 2:15 p.m.,  a motorcyclist, traveling eastbound on Main St, was involved in a collision with a Ford Explorer, in the 2400 block.

The motorcyclist was killed in the collision and the driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene and has not yet been identified.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Main St, then north on Industrial Blvd. The Explorer will have damage to the driver’s side.

This vehicle has been known to frequent the South Bay area, specifically Imperial Beach.

7/3/2017 — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV Monday in an apparent hit-and-run, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.

The crash was reported at 2:15 p.m. at Industrial Boulevard and Main Street, CVPD Lt. Buddy Magor said. The motorcyclist collided with a vehicle pulling out of a business driveway. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and law enforcement are now on the lookout. 

Magor confirmed the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
