MTS partners with UBER to ease All-Star, Comic-Con transportation

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — July is a busy month for San Diego. MLB All-Star festivities begin Thursday and a few weeks later, Comic-Con hits San Diego — and with them come crowds. But San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is making it easier guests to get to where they are going.

MTS announced a new partnership with ride-service app Uber to make it easier for riders to access MTS trolleys, and ultimately Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center.

People who use uberPOOL to get to or leave an MTS transit center from July 8 to July 24 will automatically receive a one-time 5 dollar discount on their ride when they use promo code UBERMTS.

MTS wants guests visiting San Diego this month to avoid traffic and parking hassles so they’ve selected 20 transit centers for pick-up and drop-off that will give riders the discount. Visit sdmts.com for more information.
