MTS provides extra transportation for Fourth of July Events
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The Metropolitan Transit System announced they will provide extra transportation for the Fourth of July holiday.
Green Line trolleys will increase frequency from Qualcomm Stadium starting at 3:30 p.m. Monday, running every 7 minutes and 30 seconds, according to MTS. All three trolley lines will increase service after the show, with the last trolleys departing downtown stations at midnight. Otherwise, all trolleys and MTS buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.
North County Transit District will also run buses on a Sunday schedule. The last Coaster will depart San Diego for Oceanside Transit Center at 11:41 p.m., according to North County Transit District. The Sprinter has added two late-night trips to its schedule. A westbound train will depart the Escondido Transit Center at 11 p.m. and an eastbound train will depart the Oceanside Transit Center at 12:33 a.m., according to NCTD.
