MTS trolley, ambulance collide in downtown San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — An ambulance and a trolley collided Friday in downtown San Diego.

A man who suffered minor injuries in the accident in the vicinity of Fourth Avenue and C Street shortly before 5:30 a.m. was taken to a hospital via a second ambulance, according to San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez.

Martinez said the intersections of Fourth Avenue and B and C streets were temporarily blocked.

Orange and Blue line trolley service was affected but has since returned to normal, according to the Metropolitan Transit System.
