Muggy weather and rain possible as Tropical Depression Blanca effects linger

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Cloudy and muggy weather was expected to cover most of the county Tuesday as the remnants of tropical depression Blanca continued to linger.

Potential heavy rainfall was also a possibility.

The deserts and mountains face the possibility of increased moisture as well, as showers and isolated thunderstorms were expected in the region until Wednesday. It was anticipated that some areas near the mountains could receive as much as a few tenths of an inch of rain, while highland areas could get around a quarter inch.

However, thunderstorms could bring heavy precipitation to those areas this afternoon, but most rainfall was expected to end early this evening.

Highs today were expected to range from 75 to 80 degrees on the coast, to 85 to 90 degrees inland. Any cloud cover and humidity was believed to be exiting the area by Wednesday evening.
