Multi-car crash sends four to hospitals

MISSION VALLEY (CNS) – Authorities responded Sunday to a multi-car crash blocking several lanes on Interstate 8.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near Interstate 805 in Mission Valley. according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash involved four to five cars, including one that rolled over.

Two people were taken to Rady Children’s Hospital and two were taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Lanes three and four were blocked and several emergency units are on scene, the CHP said.
