Name released of Navy man killed at Camp Pendleton

Authorities released the name today of a 23-year- old Navy man who was killed last weekend in a training accident at Camp Pendleton.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Wilson Won Lee of Lakewood died Sunday in a vehicle crash on the base, according to Marine Corps officials.

Lee, who enlisted in February 2008, was a corpsman with Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group. He served two combat deployments in Afghanistan in 2009 and 2011.

His personal service awards include a Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
