NASA: We have strong evidence of liquid water on Mars

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – NASA announced Monday that there is, at this moment, liquid water on Mars.

They say it appears that salt water flows down certain martian slopes each summer.

They say dark, narrow streaks appear on martian mountains during the summer and fade the rest of the year.

Because water is essential to life as we know it, this could have some big implications.

Francis French, the director of education at the San Diego Air and Space Museum joined KUSI’s Mark Mathis to talk about this new discovery.
