National Mentoring Month
SAN DIEGO (KUSI)- January is National Mentoring Month and Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful and monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), between the ages seven and 18 in communities across the country. For more than 100 years nationally and 55 locally, the organization has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, they develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Big Brother, Sergio Capozzi, and Little Brother, Kai, were in today to discuss the impact of the organization.
