National Nurses Weeks kicks off Sunday through next weekend

Dr. Divina Grossman joined Good Morning San Diego to spread awareness about National Nurses Week.

National Nurses Day is Sunday May 6, which is celebrated annually to raise awareness of the important role nurses play in society.

It marks the beginning of National Nurses Week, which ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is often referred to as the “founder” of modern nursing.

Dr. Divina Grossman is a longtime nurse and leader in health sciences education; she was recently inducted as the new president of University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos
