National Wear Red Rally happening tonight

Today is National Wear Red Day.

Join the fight against women and heart disease. The American Heart Association’s 2018 San Diego Go Red For Women campaign kicked-off last night with the Annual Go Red For Women Lighting Ceremony at the UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center.

More than 20 San Diego landmarks/businesses will join the UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center in Going Red during February in support of the campaign, including landmarks across San Diego, such as the Hotel Del Coronado, Tri-City Medical Center, The Headquarters at Seaport Village, and the Omni Hotel.

There are numerous opportunities to show your support and get engaged with the campaign, including this evening’s National Wear Red Day Rally and the Go Red For Women Luncheon.

Today – February 2, join San Diegans at The Headquarters at Seaport Village for a National Wear Red Day Rally and Walk to the Omni Hotel. The rally begins at 6pm, with a post rally celebration at the Omni scheduled to begin around 630pm.

February’s Go Red For Women campaign concludes with the 2018 Go Red For Women Luncheon, Friday, February 23, at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

The luncheon is the celebratory event for the American Heart Association’s annual Go Red campaign. For many, the luncheon is a life-changing experience that focuses on three areas to support the fight against heart disease in women: heightening awareness of the issue, creating a passionate call-to-action, and generating funds to support education and research.
