New bill could ban complimentary shower products at hotels

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Those small bottles of shampoo and conditioner at hotels could soon be banned.

The California State Assembly has cleared a bill that would ban complimentary shower products offered at hotels.

It’s the latest effort to get rid of single-use plastics to reduce plastic pollution.

Hotels could still provide the small bottles of shampoo but only if a guests request them.

The bill now moves onto the State Senate.

If it passes the ban would take effect in 2023.
