New California political party called Common Sense Party

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A new political organization has been launched in California. When organizers collect 67,000 signatures, the Common Sense political party becomes official.

The party’s interim chair is former five term Congressman Tom Campbell. The new party bills itself as socially moderate, fiscally responsible, and bases its decisions on facts not prejudice. It has no platform as yet, but its policies will be determined by the party’s membership.

But as KUSI’s Steve Bosh reports, it will take more than common sense to become a viable alternative for California voters.
