New city program helps police officers purchase home

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In what’s being considered a first in San Diego, a program designed to help the city’s police officers buy homes in the city where they work.

Many officers commute to work from outside counties before transferring, leaving the city with a shortage of officers and economic implications.
