New poll shows Todd Gloria and Scott Sherman leading in San Diego mayor’s race

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Three candidates are facing off to replace Kevin Faulconer in the San Diego mayoral race.

The front runners are State Assemblymember Todd Gloria, City Councilmember Barbara Bry and City Councilmember Scott Sherman as the lone Republican.

A nonpartisan election will be held less than a month from now on March 3rd. Then in November, San Diego voters will elect a new mayor.

As we’re nearing the primary, a poll released by the San Diego Union Tribune shows Gloria leading at 29 percent, Sherman at 18 percent and Bry in third at 13 percent.

District 7 Councilmember and Republican Mayoral Candidate Scott Sherman was in studio to talk about his campaign.
