New report ranks San Diego 8th worst roads in the U.S.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A report released last week ranked San Diego's roads as the eighth worst in the country.

The report said more than half of the city's roads are in poor shape and cost the average San Diegan $800 a year in car maintenance.

But things could be turning around.

San Diego just got a federal grant for neighborhood projects.

San Diego city councilmember Mark Kersey spoke to KUSI about plans for the funds.
