New restaurant ‘Graze by Sam the Cooking Guy’ officially opens in Little Italy

LITTLE ITALY (KUSI) – First he opened ‘Not Not Tacos’ in the Little Italy Food Hall, and now Sam the Cooking Guy has expanded his presence in the area with a new eatery, bar and bottle shop.

Graze by Sam is located directly across the Plaze della Famiglia from Not Not Tacos and is still part of the Little Italy Food Hall. Local hospitality group Grain & Grit Collective runs the food hall and took the opportunity to expand the size of the food hall and continue their partnership with Sam Zien.

With the design of Graze in mind, Sam the Cooking Guy decided to bring a piece of his home to Little Italy to share with his fans and customers. Featuring a glass kitchen, Graze has folding glass doors that open onto an outdoor patio to make customers feel at just like they are at home.

KUSI’s Allie Wagner spent the morning with Sam learning all about how Graze came to be, and even got to taste some of the delicious food you can order when you visit.

Watch Sam describe the “living room” feel inside of Graze and the cool bottle shop section of the restaurant where customers can buy wine bottles to take home, or pay a small corkage fee to open them and enjoy with friends at Graze.

And of course, you have to see Sam make Allie one of the unbelievably delicious flatbread pizzas that will be served.

Sam even made Allie some of his delicious brisket tacos in between Good Morning San Diego hits on a Facebook live stream.

Sam the Cooking Guy’s new restaurant, Graze, is officially open in Little Italy! He’s giving us a tour of the new place, and invites you all to come down and say hi!
