New study finds diet may reduce risk of breast cancer death

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A new study shows that sticking to a low-fat, plant-based diet could reduce a woman’s risk of dying from breast cancer.

Results from the study show that women who followed that diet had a 21% lower chance of dying from breast cancer.

Joining KUSI to discuss this study further is Dr. Anne Wallace, the director of UC San Diego Health’s Comprehensive Breast Health Center.
