New Year’s Day holiday closures

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Most federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed tomorrow for the New Year’s holiday.

Administrative offices in the city of San Diego will not be open. Neither will the Miramar Landfill, recreation centers, pools or libraries — which are operating on a special schedule during the holiday period.

The Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center will be closed, as will Chollas Lake and the Tecolote Nature Center. Municipal golf courses will be open.

County offices, animal shelters and libraries will be closed, but most day-use parks will be open. Community and teen centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley will be closed.

Metropolitan Transit System buses and trolleys will run on a Sunday schedule. No service will be provided on Rapid Express, Sorrento Valley Coaster Connection, other Express bus routes.

The North County Transit District’s buses, Coaster train and Sprinter light-rail will operate on a holiday schedule.

Regular transit schedules will resume Friday.
