New York City police officers injured in assassination attempt

NEW YORK (KUSI) – New York City authorities are looking into the past of a man accused of trying to assassinate police officers.

Two officers were wounded in separate shooting incidents between last night and early this morning.

Both officers are expected to recover from their injuries, but police say they are confident the suspect in custody is responsible for both attacks.
