Non-profit “Miracle Babies” supports families of premature babies

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – April is Alcohol Awareness Month. This segment of Healthy Living focuses on the dangerous outcomes that can occur from drinking during pregnancy.

Dr. Sean Daneshmand is a high-risk OBGYN and also the founder of Miracle Babies, a non-profit that supports families of babies born prematurely or with serious medical problems that land them in the neo-natal intensive care unit.

Though the organization’s fundraising and awareness campaigns, Miracle Babies has raised millions of dollars to help local families, providing financial help, transportation, child care costs, etc.

Dr. Daneshmand joined KUSI to talk more about the latest research on alcohol during pregnancy and to discuss an upcoming event at Liberty Station.
