Non-surgical weight loss balloon

For some people, diet and exercise simply aren’t enough to achieve their weight-loss goals. That’s why Dr. Ellner developed the weight loss belly balloon.

Dr. Julie Ellner, Bariatric Surgeon with Sharp Grossmont Hospital, visited the studio with one of her patients to talk about the procedure.

This minimally invasive weight-loss procedure is ideal if you have a body mass index (BMI) up to 40 and it offers long-term benefits, requires no incision and typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. After the procedure, patients participate in 12 months of personal coaching sessions with Dr. Ellner to develop a customized plan based on their abilities and personal goals.

While proven effective, the balloon is not a cure. It is removed from the stomach after six months by being deflated and then retrieved in the same way it was inserted. Once the balloon is removed, patients are strongly encouraged to incorporate what they have learned during the first six months to navigate and maintain healthy habits.

Attend Dr. Ellner’s seminar on October 25 to learn more.
