The Streaking Cats host the Golden Eagles

The El Camino Wildcats (3-1) who are on a three game winning streak, get the winless San Pasqual Eagles (0-4) in the PPR North County Game of the Week.
It’s a tale of two teams in the NC Game of the week. El Camino under 1st year head coach John Roberts, has improved each week of the season. Their only loss was int he 1st week of the season, where they let one slip away at home to Point Loma. Since then they have rattled off an Overtime win at Mira Mesa, a comeback win at Poway, and a 40 point win at Fallbrook.
El Camino has “Bought in”, to who Coach Roberts is teaching, and reaping the benefits. The Wildcats don’t pass the ball all that much, but when they do, you can expect either Tight End Anthony Taele or Wide Receiver Eric Wilson to be on the receiving end. What they do well is run the ball behind a big offensive line, and both Junior running back Dreshon Epps and Senior RB Nick Donaldson rushed for 100 yards in last weeks win with both averaging more than 10 yards a carry.
2013 Division 1 CIF SDS Finalist San Pasqual has had the dubious task of replacing 21 of 22 players from last seasons team. The Eagles are young and inexperienced, letting 2 potential wins slip away at Rancho Buena Vista in week 2, and at Mt. Carmel last week. Offensive coordinator Andrew Clark said, “If our guys show consistency, we can play with anybody.”
Despite the Eagles rough start to the season, this final non-league game will prepare them to make a run at the Valley League title this season.
