Nothing But Lip Service!
Monday, March 14, 2011 – When a San Diego man got tired of a big runaround from the city, he picked up the phone and called KUSI's Michael Turko. Turko says he's spent several months tracking a simple request for a parking space through the maze of a big city bureaucracy.
All he wanted was a disabled parking space in front of his house. It's not a complicated process, you prove you need one, pay a hefty fee, and the city comes out and paints the curb blue and puts up a sign. That's how it's supposed to work, but here's a case that got off on the wrong foot and then went sideways. They cashed his check months ago, and since them he's got nothing but lip service!
