Oceanside football head coach John Carroll pep talks with KUSI

The synonymous with Oceanside football – the man synonymous with championship football, 12 section titles, 2 state titles, 224 career wins against only 70 losses – John Carroll talks live with KUSI’s Sports Director Paul Rudy about the upcoming season.

Caroll says he is fully recovered from last season’s health scared and ready to be back on the sidelines. He then comments on Governor Jerry Brown’s latest legislation reducing the amount of contact in high school football during the practice week. Another change this year will be the CIF waiting until the end of the season to pick its 8 Open Division Playoff teams, and Carroll is ready.
