Oceanside police officer injured after motorcycle collides with vehicle

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – An Oceanside police officer was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle while the officer was responding to an accident call.

Oceanside police Lt. Leonard Cosby said the officer had been flown to an area hospital with moderate to severe injuries.

The crash accord around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning along state Route 76 and Benet Road, according to Cosby.
