Oceanside police officers wear pink during breast cancer awareness month

OCEANSIDE (KUSI) – You’ve seen pink ribbons commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Now, for its second year, the Oceanside Police Officers Association will be sporting pink patches on their uniforms to raise awareness about breast cancer and funds.

The Oceanside Police Officers Association will offer these spiffy pink patches for sale on its website for $10 with 100% of the sales going to directly financially support women in San Diego who are struggling to make ends meet.

Shades of Pink Foundation of California is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that provides grants that cover groceries, rent, car insurance, health care, and other essentials for women in need.
