Oceanside police search for sexual assault suspect

OCEANSIDE (KUSI) – Police in Oceanside were on the lookout Tuesday after a 38-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a male acquaintance near a downtown bike trail.

According to police, the victim was able to provide them information regarding the appearance of the suspect.

Following the attack, the woman headed for a home on Costa Pacifica Way near North Coast Highway and told the residents there that she had been raped. Police were notified just before 11 p.m. Monday night.
