Omid the pup from Iran gets a new eyelid, looking for forever home

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Omid was a pup in Iran who had acid poured on her face. She lost her eyelid but survived, and a woman in the country solicited the help from the Helen Woodard Animal Center to get her brought to America for surgery.

After getting a new eyelid, she is recovering and is now awaiting her forever home.

Jessica Gercke from the Helen Woodward Animal Center joined KUSI’s Lauren Phinney to discuss the pup.
