Onramp reopened after motorcyclist death

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The onramp from Genesee Avenue to westbound State Route 52 was closed Wednesday due to a fatal motorcycle accident resulting in one death.

The motorcyclist died Wednesday in a solo crash at a University City freeway connector, authorities reported.

The rider lost control and struck a pole in a median at the entrance to westbound State Route 52 from Genesee Avenue shortly after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim’s name was not immediately available.

The onramp reopened after accident investigators gathered all evidence.
