Orange Glen 16, Classical Academy 14

The battle of the undefeated teams ended in a loss for the Classical Academy Caimans on Friday. Upon our halftime arrival the game was tied 8-8. Senior quarterback turned running back Christian Morales came up big for the Orange Glen Patriots with a 49 yard touchdown in the 3rd. That would be the last score of the game for the Patriots as they held on to their lead for the duration of the game. Leading the rushing game in the was junior running back, Roger Rickman, 141 yards on 19 carries with one touchdown, Rickman was clearly “the driver” for the Patriots. Orange Glen remains undefeated as they will go head to head with Calexico High school next Friday.

Unfortunately the Classical Academy Caimans took their first loss in the 2014 season Friday. The Caimans came close to but wasn’t able to find the end zone for the 2 pt. conversion after their touchdown to tie the game. Blain Fletcher would score their last touchdown for the game off a 23 yard run. It truly came down to the wire for the Caimans and they will be looking for redemption next week. Goodman and crew look to defeat the Sage Hill Lightning next Saturday.
