Overcoming Odds to host a “Flourishing Beyond Your Circumstances” conference

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Through storytelling and shared experiences, Overcoming Odds restores a sense of community and belonging, provides a safe place to develop one’s individual voice and connect individuals through unique life circumstances.

The “Flourishing Beyond Your Circumstances” conference will elevate the voices of 150 local individuals who have overcome unique life circumstances. This event will include four speakers, whose stories have been heard nationwide. Each speaker will be given 45 minutes to lead an interactive, storytelling session, encompassing their personal journey with actionable and applicable steps that attendees can use to further develop self-belief, self-awareness, confidence and courage. The goal is that this event will give the attendees the courage to share their story with others in a meaningful way.
