Owner of LA Times and Union-Tribune pays himself $15 million for consulting

The man who owns several newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune, awarded himself a $15 million consulting deal.

The deal — to be paid starting Jan. 1 — enraged the union representing the LA Times newsroom.
