Oxycontin: How I got started 11/9/10

They're called the “Rx Generation,” a generation of teens and young adults who are recklessly dabbling with prescription drugs to get high. But one prescription drug can quickly turn a casual user into a full blown addict. Oxy is readily available to our teens; they find it in the medicine cabinet, over the border in back room pharmacy's or through friends at school. Oxycontin is extra dangerous because it is considered a “short-cut” to heroin, a similar opiate drug which is cheaper and produces the same kind of high, but is extremely deadly.
