Padres hire new manager Jayce Tingler

The San Diego Padres have picked Jayce Tingler as their new manager.

Tingler has ties with the front office and as a field coordinator for the Texas Rangers, and also is currently managing a ball club in the Dominican Republic.

This is his first MLB managerial job, as well as the second rookie manager hired by AJ Preller.
