Parade of All Stars leads to Petco Park

 SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Major League Baseball’s 87th All-Star Game marks the end of a week of All-Star festivities, but there is still plenty for fans to experience throughout the day Tuesday. FanFest continues to run at the San Diego Convention Center Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and an All-Star Parade is scheduled to begin at noon.

Former Padres, Trevor Hoffman and Dave Winfield will lead a parade of National League and American League players and coaches through the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village to Petco Park. The parade starts at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel on Harbor Dr. near Market St.

Due to the parade, many streets in the area will be closed. San Diego police tweeted out a map of streets to avoid:

The Metropolitan Transit System announced that Green Line trolleys will begin running every 7 1/2 minutes from Qualcomm Stadium beginning at 9:53 a.m.

After the game, 15-minute service to Santee will be extended until 10:06 p.m from the 12th and Imperial Transit Center. The last train to San Diego State University departs at 11:36 p.m.

The North County Transit District said an extra southbound Coaster train will depart the Oceanside Transit Center at 1:56 p.m. and arrive in downtown San Diego about one hour later. A northbound train will depart Santa Fe Depot one hour after the game ends, with an absolute latest departure of midnight.
