Paraglider dies in Imperial Beach

IMPERIAL BEACH (CNS) – A paraglider died from a fall in Imperial Beach on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, was found not breathing after falling onto some rocks near the 1600 block of Seacoast Drive about 4:10 p.m., sheriff's Sgt. William Uelen said.

Sheriff's deputies, firefighters, paramedics and lifeguards responded to the scene and resuscitative efforts were initiated, but the man died from his injuries, Uelen said.
