Part of state Route 905 to close overnight

OTAY MESA (KUSI) – Work being done by Caltrans workers on signs near the Otay Mesa border crossing will cause a portion of the 905 freeway to be closed overnight beginning late Monday.

The stretch of westbound state Route 905 between Siempre Viva and La Media roads will be closed from 9 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, as part of a project to connect the 905 and state Route 11 to Enrico Fermi Drive. The westbound route will also be closed for the same duration of time from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

According to transit officials, trucks and other vehicles coming to San Diego will be detoured along eastbound Siempre Viva Road and back to northbound La Media Road in order to get back on the highway.
