Patrick Henry 37, Serra 21

A slugfest initially turned into an outright shootout at Patrick Henry on Friday night with the Patriots getting the best of Serra 37-21. Patrick Henry improves to 4-2 on the season with an impressive win on homecoming. While Serra drops to 1-5 on the season.

Patrick Henry will host Scripps Ranch next Friday night at 6:30pm, while Serra will continue to stay on the road and play at Hoover at 6:30pm. The win for Patrick Henry means a 1-0 start in league, and while Serra lost, they had a 21-14 point lead early in the 3rd quarter before allowing 23 unanswered points.

Serra was lead by Junior Jelani Fields; young man had two interceptions and also had a kickoff return for a touchdown from 90 yards out. While Patrick Henry was lead by Cruz Samaniego and Dezmon Patmon Samaniego and Patmon hooked up twice from 51 yards out and 26 both in the air. First one in the first quarter, while the second connection sealed the game in the fourth quarter Patriots ran the clock out late.
