Paying For A Service They Don’t Need… It Ain’t Right!
Tuesday, March 22, 2011 – Lots of Oceanside residents have been calling KUSI's Michael Turko about a big trash pick-up controversy. They tell Turko the city's making them pay for green waste pickup that funnels money to a private waste company.
Up in Oceanside trash is collected by a private company under contract to the city. When recycling came in years ago, residents in planned communities with landscape service were exempted from green waste fees. But now that's changing, and thousands of residents are crying foul. They say they'll be paying for a service they don't need and can't use. It Ain't Right!
