Pearl Harbor survivor celebrates his 100th birthday
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The second oldest Pearl Harbor vet to live in San Diego celebrated his 100th birthday Tuesday.
Clayton Schenkelberg spent 27 years in the Navy, retiring as chief. He then spent the next 20 years working at San Diego city schools.
The Pearl Harbor survivor was married to his wife for 75 years, who just passed this last August at age 92.
The oldest Pearl Harbor veteran currently living in San Diego is Greg Chavez at 105.
