Pedestrian fatally hit on I-15 near Normal Heights

NORMAL HEIGHTS (KUSI) – A pedestrian was struck and killed this morning by a vehicle on Highway 15 in the Mid-City community of San Diego near Normal Heights.

The death occurred on the northbound freeway, just south of El Cajon Boulevard, occurred a little after 5:05 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

A SigAlert was issued at 5:36 a.m. closing northbound lanes 1 through 4 until mid-afternoon.

Authorities have not released any information on the person hit or details surrounding the accident.
